About

Suburban Lancaster Sewer Authority (SLSA) was incorporated as a municipal authority in June 1970. The SLSA Board is comprised of five members representing the municipalities that are provided with sewer service. SLSA has no direct employees or staff.

Day-to-day administration, engineering and inspection services are provided by our engineer CDM Smith Inc. (CDM Smith), maintenance of the sewer system is provided by the City of Lancaster and user fee billing is performed by our billing company, TEAM Billing.

Wastewater treatment is provided at the City of Lancaster Wastewater Treatment Facility, where SLSA has a capacity allocation of 4.15 million gallons per day (MGD).

SLSA also provides wastewater conveyance service for the Borough of Strasburg, which owns a portion of SLSA’s treatment capacity allocation at the City Facility.
